September is here, and across Northern Wisconsin and Northeast Minnesota, we are starting to see the first signs of fall. The mornings are getting cooler, the leaves are beginning to change, and many buyers and sellers are starting to think about what they want to accomplish before winter arrives.
At EXIT Northland Realty, September is also a big month for us. We are continuing to grow our local presence, helping buyers and sellers throughout the Northland, and hosting two special events right here in Superior.
Buying your first home can feel overwhelming. There are questions about financing, inspections, offers, closing costs, and what happens after an offer is accepted.
That is why EXIT Northland Realty is hosting a First-Time Homebuyer Class on September 15.
The goal is simple: give future homeowners straightforward information so they understand the homebuying process before they are in the middle of it.
We will talk about topics such as:
Getting financially prepared to buy
Understanding mortgage preapproval
What to expect when touring homes
Writing an offer
Home inspections
Closing costs
What happens between an accepted offer and closing
Whether you are ready to buy now or you are planning six months or a year ahead, learning the process early can make buying a home much easier.
We are also excited to officially celebrate the Grand Opening of EXIT Northland Realty on Friday, September 18, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at our Superior office.
Our office is located at:
2212 E 5th Street
Superior, Wisconsin
We invite clients, local businesses, real estate professionals, friends, neighbors, and anyone interested in learning more about EXIT Northland Realty to stop in and visit.
Opening this brokerage is about more than putting another real estate sign in the Northland. Our goal is to build a local company focused on serving people, supporting agents, and being involved in the communities where we live and work.
We would be glad to have you stop by and celebrate with us.
September can also be an important month for homeowners who have been thinking about selling.
Many sellers assume they should automatically wait until spring. That is not always the best decision.
There are still buyers actively searching during the fall. In many cases, those buyers are serious about making a move because they would like to be settled before winter, the holidays, or the end of the year.
If you have been considering selling, September is a good time to answer a few important questions:
What could your home sell for today?
How much competition would you have?
What improvements should you make before listing?
Would selling this fall or waiting until spring make more sense for your situation?
A good real estate plan should be based on your goals and the local market, not simply the time of year.
Homebuyers can also find opportunities during September and the fall months.
As summer ends, some homes that have been on the market longer may have motivated sellers. New listings also continue coming onto the market as homeowners try to sell before winter.
Buyers should continue watching the market carefully and be ready when the right property appears.
That is especially true throughout areas such as:
Hermantown
South Range
Lake Nebagamon
Solon Springs
And surrounding Northern Wisconsin and Northeast Minnesota communities
Whether you are searching for your first home, your next home, vacant land, recreational property, a cabin, or an investment property, having a plan before you start looking can save a lot of frustration.
Real estate across the Northland is not one single market.
Buying a home in Duluth can be different from buying in Superior. Rural Douglas County property can present different questions than a home inside the city. Cabins, acreage, waterfront property, investment properties, and older homes can all require different knowledge.
That is why we believe local experience, good communication, and dependable follow-through matter.
Our job is not to pressure someone into buying or selling. Our job is to give people the information they need to make a good decision.
You do not have to be ready to move tomorrow to start having the conversation.
If buying or selling real estate is something you are considering this fall, winter, or next spring, September is a great time to start building your plan.
And if you are in the Superior area, we would also love to see you at one of our September events.
